Halloween is slowly slinking towards us, and as each dreadful day passes, many of us are still unsure of how to spend our freaky Fridays and scary Saturdays. If you are still in the dark on how to liven up a dreary day, here are some suggestions.

On Oct. 30 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., students between the ages 15 and 20 can “skelebrate” this spooky holiday at Skelebration, an event that will house several DJs, interactive experiences, food trucks, a video game arcade and more all inside Redmoon Theater’s 57, 000 square foot warehouse.

You can purchase tickets for $10 by clicking here or wait to buy them at the door for $15.

For music lovers with access to a car, on Oct. 23, this Friday, from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., all ages can see Steve Aoki and Juciy J preform at The Rave Halloween Party, which will take place at The Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Tickets are currently $48.47.

For film fanatics, Collected Voices: Chicago Ethnographic Film Festival will be hosting a Halloween Costume Party at Elastic Arts in Chicago on Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. where film fest winners will be announced and screenings of winning films will be presented.

On Oct. 23 from 6:20 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., The Athletico Center in Northbrook will be hosting AC After Dark.

While the event is targeted at people looking for discounts to plan a party, AC After Dark can also be utilized as a free opportunity for anyone to enjoy cosmic games, DJs, dancers, and more.

On Oct. 24 the Chicago Culture Mile Association will be hosting The Halloween Gathering, which will feature a festival during the day and a parade in the evening.
From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Art and Halloween Festival will take place along the Chicago Culture Mile, offering highlights like mask-making, free performances, and interactive experiences.
If weather is poor, then the Art and Halloween Festival will relocate to the Fine Arts Building (410 S. Michigan).
Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park will also offer free performances all day as well as activities ranging from ghost stories to face painting.
Regardless of whether it rains or shines, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., spectacularly costumed individuals, including the Thriller Dance Group, will be accompanied by floats, music, and mood lighting as they parade north on Columbus from Balbo to Monroe.
If you find yourself intrigued by a theatrical thrill, Never the Sinner, which peeks into the complicated relationship between two partners in crime, will be playing at Victor Gardens Theater on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. with a reception beginning at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $30 and you can claim the discount by using the code CHICAGOHISTORY when you visit victorygardens.org/buy-tickets or call 773-871-3000.
On Oct. 24, 25, 30, and 31, an annual favorite, Halloween at Navy Pier, will be presenting attractions like free scary movies, live entertainment, and characters inspired by the “Addams Family” to help you relish this spooky season.
Regardless of how you choose to spend your last two weekends before October ends, be sure to enjoy your last dreadful days instead of remaining like a couch zombie.
