Niles North Theater presents “Museums”

The Niles North theater department presents the fall play Museums by Tina Howe. Museums is about how people understand, value and consume visual art. Different characters come to see the last day of this art museum and interact with each other.

“Audience members should expect to laugh, feel compassion, and be moved by the slice of life that they will see on stage this weekend,” said director and English teacher Analiisa Ahlman. “This play is challenging because it’s a different style than our actors usually work with. They are working incredibly hard, and I’m thrilled to see the results.”

“I play Liz and Zoey and it’s really fun playing two characters,” senior Alex Monte said. “It’s a lot of work and a different challenge. The audience can expect to see a lot of goofy characters, art pieces made by AP art students, and have a good laugh.”

There will be a free community performance of Museums on Thursday, November 20 at 10 a.m. There will also be opportunities to see it on Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. The play will be held in the Black Box Theatre.

Tickets are $10 and will be sold in the Box Fffice.

For reserved seating, call the Box Office at 847-626-2122.
