Fuller House is NOT full of excitement

Fuller+House+is+NOT+full+of+excitement

After 25 years, the family sitcom Full House, released a sequel titled Fuller House which was expected to be full excitement for many, but instead turned fans down to disappointment. What makes the show very “bad” is the does not have the same mixture and toe like Full House did and I can keep the list going.

With Full House revolving around three guys taking care of their family, Fuller House is about three women taking care of their family. The show revolves around DJ Tanner played by Candice Cameron-Bure who recently has lost her husband. Without her husband by her side, DJ has to now handle the pressure of working and taking care of her three sons. Help arrives when DJ’s younger sister Stephanie Tanner played by Jodie Sweetin and her best friend Kimmy Gibbler played by Andrea Barber, offer to stay with DJ and help her take care of her kids.

The one thing that irritated me the most was that NONE of the original male cast were barley on the show. The only time we see the whole family gather (except the Olsen-twins) is the first 10 minutes of the show and then they all leave. They only returned for 2 episodes and then they leave again. Many fans were excited to see the return of Uncle Jesse, Danny Tanner, Joey Gladstone, and Aunt Becky, but all we get is just a “hi” and a “bye” from them.

What also got me very mad about the show was DJ Tanner. Not that her character is bad, I just did not like how they portrayed her. When we left Full House, we see DJ as a very mischievous and sneaky young adult, but in the show she is a very unsocial and “too” nice of a person. She barley knows what social media is and she is always trying to act cool. It kind if reminds me of Danny Tanner. I wanted to see more of DJ’s dark side where she blames Stephanie for everything and where she lies to her family about her whereabouts. Now DJ is just blob of boring.

“I just did not feel the same vibe from Fuller House. I was not very happy when I was a few episodes in,” Stacy Sanjeew, said.

In addition, with the main cast from the original series barley on it, the by far most disappointing thing about Fuller House was that the Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley, were absent. Their reason for not coming back to the show was that they have a fashion line to take care of and that they can’t make up with the schedule. The cast also makes fun of the twins in the show by explaining their absence and they look at the screen for a good 30 seconds. I was really pumped up to see my favorite characters from the 90’s make a come back, but with their absence the show seemed very awkward.

Moving on to the most awkward moment is when the show makes MANY adult jokes. While I was sitting and watching the show with my mom, Stephanie and Kimmy make some very inappropriate adult jokes which just makes watching tv with my family very uncomfortable.

If I had to like something about Fuller House, it would be that Kimmy Gibbler is still the crazy old neighbor that the Tanners were annoyed of. She still pulls of her jokes and she always acts very confused. Her jokes were the only things that I laughed about and her presence in the episodes was what I was really looking forward too!

Overall if you are Full House fan than I suggest you go watch it because it is nice to see a family with full of laughter once again.

You can catch the “funniness” of Fuller House on Netflix with all 13 episodes streaming.
